Manchester City star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan sent a special message to his teammate David Silva following Sunday afternoon’s victory.
The Citizens registered an emphatic 6-1 win over Huddersfield and move into pole position in the Premier League.
Gundogan played 82 minutes before being replaced by youngster Phil Foden.
Following the final whistle, Gundogan took to social media to share a photo of himself celebrating alongside his teammates and included the following caption, “Amazing 1st home match, amazing performance from everybody! Especially happy [email protected]”
Silva played in front of eight-month-old Mateo, his son who was born prematurely, requiring the Spain international to spend long spells of last season at home in Valencia to be with his family.
Mateo spent the first five months of his life in hospital but thankfully was given the all-clear to go home back in May.
Man City are back in action this weekend when they take on Wolves.
