Emre Can is probably pretty trustworthy when it comes to Turkish food.
The 24-year-old may be a Germany international but he is, of course, an ethnic Turk – I actually share the same first name.
So where does Can eat in Liverpool? well he was kind enough to let us know on his Instagram stories.
Can shared the name of the restaurant and I must admit I’m feeling a bit peckish after feasting my eyes on this bad boy.
I did not actually realise there were Turkish restaurants in the city – other than a few late night kebab shops.
It passes the visual test, the rice looks pretty authentic with the şehriyeli rice besides the kavurma meal – meat, tomatoes, peppers, onions, spices and herbs slow cooked over a lengthy period of time.
