Liverpool midfielder Emre Can was among the long list of players to wish Arsenal star Mesut Ozil a happy birthday yesterday.
Can did however, tell his fellow Germany international of Turkish origin that here is ‘no reason for being so serious!’.
The 22-year-old shared a picture on Instagram alongside Ozil wearing his trademark hat, a pair of sunglasses and sporting a facial expression that does look pretty serious.
We are not quite sure exactly what Ozil was being so serious about but Can found it worth pointing out.
Can and Ozil were both born in Germany into Turkish families and had the option to represent both countries at international level.
Both players regularly visit family and friends in Turkey. Ozil also enjoys celebrity status in his parents homeland and regularly appears on television shows.
