(Photo) Man City playmaker reaches out to former Dortmund teammate

Manchester City playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has reached out to his former teammate Shinji Kagawa to wish him a happy birthday.

Gundogan won the Bundesliga and reached the UEFA Champions League final alongside Kagawa at Borussia Dortmund.

The 26-year-old playmaker shared a photo pf himself alongside Kagawa on social media and included the following caption, “We went through some memorable years together. Let’s make it many more! I wish you all the best and happy birthday, Shinji!”

Ilkay Gundogan has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury he suffered back in December.

City take on Liverpool this weekend in the Premier League.
