Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan traveled with the Germany side to Russia today ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
The midfielder of Turkish origin shared a photograph from the plane journey to Moscow, revealing he was ‘so excited’.
The World Cup will be Gundogan’s first, the 27-year-old missed the last one due to injury.

Gundogan is one of two players of Turkish origin in the Germany side, the other being Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The City star has come under fire from sections of the German media and fans after meeting Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Gundogan has been booed by his own fans for the last two friendly games.
