Man City playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media to send a message to his former club Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga kicks off this weekend and Gundogan shared a photo from his days in a Dortmund shirt and wished the club the best of luck ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Gundogan has gone onto cement his place as a first-team regular in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.
The 27-year-old included the following caption alongside his Instagram post, “Good memories from 2012 – what an unforgettable game against Greuther Fürth! Wishing my former club @bvb09 all the best for the upcoming season!”
Man City are back in action this weekend when they take on Wolves FC.
