Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan wished his followers a happy Eid over his social media accounts.
Eid al-Adha is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. The religious holiday centres around the meat from a sacrificed animal being given to the poor and needy.
Gundogan shared a photograph in front, of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi as part of his Eid tweet.
The structure is one the world’s largest mosques, with a capacity for an astonishing 40,000 worshippers. It features 82 domes, over a 1,000 columns and the world’s largest hand knotted carpet.

Eid Mubarak or Blessed Eid is a traditional Muslim greeting reserved to celebrate the end of the month of Ramadan.
‘Bayramınız mübarek olsun’, is the same message in the Turkish language.
