Manchester City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan jetted into London to watch the Women’s Wimbledon Final on Saturday.

German 11th seed Angelique Kerber defeated seven-time champion Serena Williams to win her first Wimbledon title.

Gundogan took to social media to wish his fellow German sports star good luck. The 27-year-old followed up by congratulating Kerber upon her win.

Gundogan is expected to rejoin the rest of the Man City squad to begin pre-season training later this month. The Germany international has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
