Kevin Prince Boateng has heaped praise on Mesut Ozil following his decision to retire from the Germany national team.

Ozil released a statement on Twitter on Sunday stating that he no longer wants to play for the national team due to the treatment he has received from the German FA, Fans and media.

The Ghana international Boateng shared a photo of himself playing against Ozil and included the following caption, “One of the best I’ve ever played against.”

Ozil has returned to pre-season with the rest of the Arsenal squad ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
