Man City star midifelder Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media following Man City’s win over Newcastle United on Saturday.
The German international started the game on the bench after manager Pep Guardiola opted to field Sterling, Silva, Mahrez, Aguero and Gabriel Jesus together.
The 27-year-old did, however, come on in place of David Silva in the second half.
City returned to winning ways after being held to a draw last weekend and are two points behind leaders Liverpool.
Gundogan shared a photo of himself from the game and included the following caption, “The 3 points are ours – that’s all that really matters.”
