Manchester United fans have fond memories of Robin van Persie’s time at the club. The Dutch striker played a starring role in the Red Devils 20th league title triumph scoring 26 times in 38 Premier League games over the course of the 2012-13 season.
Fenerbahce’s Europa League draw included two of Van Persie’s former clubs including United and Feyenoord. The experienced striker was however, only able to make a brief appearance against the Dutch giants due to lacking match fitness following an injury.
Van Persie has however, made a full recovery and regained match fitness over the international break. The 33-year-old shared a picture today on his official twitter account revealed he had a great training session and that he is looking forward to the Sunday clash against Alanyaspor in the Super Lig.
