Fenerbahçe midfielder Alper Potuk underlined that he wants to keep playing regularly and contributing to the team following his goal against Başakşehir.
The Yellow Canaries beat the Istanbul based team 2-0 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
“We played against a team that had conceded the fewest goals away from home in all of Europe,” Potuk said.
“I scored a good goal and want to continue contributing to the team in the second half of the season.”
Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal sung Potuk’s praises following the victory.
“Alper Potuk scored a fantastic goal,” Kartal said.
“We have been giving him extra training sessions and working closely with him over recent weeks to improve aspects of his game.
“It is great to see what he have been working on in training transition over to his actual performances in competitive games.
“He is going to keep getting better especially in the second half of the season.
“We will continue working closely with him over the winter break but he is definitely on the right path.”
Potuk has two goals and three assists in all competitions for Fenerbahçe this season.
