Galatasaray face serious competition in the race to sign Manchester United’s out-of-favour midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
According to ESPN, the United midfielder has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs. The former Germany international appears to be on his way out of Old Trafford just one year after joining from Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile the daily Turkish sports paper AMK have revealed that Galatasaray want Schweinsteiger on loan and are willing to pay just €3.5 million of Schweinsteiger €6.5 million per season wages.
The Lions have been forced to cut back on spending after being suspended from European competition by UEFA for Financial Fair Play breaches.
Schweinsteiger has been banished to the reserve side and was not included in the Red Devils pre-season squad according to the Guardian.
Galatasaray take on Karabukspor in their opening game of the 2016-17 Turkish Super League season in two weeks time while United travel to Bournemouth for their opener this weekend.
