Newly promoted English Premier League club Sunderland has reportedly set its sights on two key Galatasaray players: midfielder Gabriel Sara and versatile attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz according to Fanatik.

However, the Turkish champions are taking a firm stance, signaling their strong desire to retain both stars as they prepare to defend their Trendyol Super League title.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk views both Sara and Yılmaz as “joker players” due to their ability to excel in multiple positions, playing critical roles within his tactical system.

Buruk has reportedly informed the club’s management that he would only approve their transfers if “astronomical offers” were received.

In response to this interest, Galatasaray’s management has set a minimum valuation of €30 million for each player.

Should Sunderland, or any other club, submit a joint offer for both Sara and Yılmaz, it would need to be at least €60 million to even initiate discussions.

Galatasaray’s strong negotiating position is bolstered by the players’ recent performances and attributes.

Barış Alper Yılmaz has garnered attention for his physical strength, versatility, and consistent contributions to the national team.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Sara has attracted interest from various European clubs due to his significant contributions and tempo in a playmaking role.

With transfer activities in full swing, it remains to be seen if Sunderland will meet Galatasaray’s high valuation for their coveted duo.
