‘The president promised Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ – Man United striker could be headed east this summer
Manchester United won the Europa League for the first time yesterday after beating Ajax 2-0 in the final played in Stockholm, Sweden.
Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not start for United as he was injured but did play an important role in his side reaching the final.
The powerful forward will be a free agent this summer and has yet to sign a new contract deal.

Ibrahimovic is expected to leave United over the summer and Galatasaray are among a growing number of teams plotting a move.
Turkish football pundit Mehmet Demirkol revealed on the NTV Spor ‘Spor Servisi’ program that Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has promised to push for Ibrahimovic.
“Ibrahimovic could come, nobody would be able to say no to such a move and I mean it could happen, the president [Dursun Ozbek] made a promise that he could come,” Demirkol said live on air.
Ibrahimovic scored 28 times and provided 10 assists in all competitions for United this season.
Galatasaray will finish the season in the top four but will not be able to enter the top two and book a Champions League spot.
The Lions will be playing Europa League football next season.
