PSG join Arsenal in Race For Turkish Striker

With Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Real Madrid confirmed, Paris Saint-Germain are actively seeking young talent to shape their post-Mbappé era. The focus is on shrewd, long-term investments in promising players.

Investing in the Future

PSG already made strides in the January window, securing young Brazilians Lucas Beraldo and Gabriel Moscardo. While not yet household names, they hold the potential to become key figures in the years to come.

Turkish Starlet on the Radar

SPORT BILD reports that PSG are among several top clubs, including Arsenal and Bayern Munich, interested in bolstering their attack with Turkish wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy of Beşiktaş.

The 18-year-old impressed last season, making 35 appearances across all competitions and contributing to 12 goals and 3 assists.

Kilicsoy’s agent Murat Teber said just a few days ago that Arsenal was among a number of clubs showing interest in Kilicsoy.

“I know that clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, PSG, Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart are watching Semih. We received information about this. But it has not reached the offer stage. At least, there is no offer that has reached us,” he said.

Competition and Potential Price Hike

Kilicsoy is contracted to Beşiktaş until 2028, which puts the Turkish club in a strong negotiating position. Transfermarkt currently values him at €12 million, but with several European giants vying for his signature, the final transfer fee could be significantly higher.

Will Kilicsoy Be the Next Big Thing?

PSG’s interest in Kilicsoy underlines their commitment to developing young talent. Whether he emerges as the next Mbappé or not remains to be seen, but his potential is undeniable.

The upcoming transfer window will be crucial for PSG as they look to find the right pieces to rebuild their attack for the future.
