Rasmus Ankersen Opens Up About Southampton and Goztepe Sport Republic ownership

Southampton are reaping the benefits of being part of the Sport Republic ownership group, with the club’s strategic partnership with Goztepe proving fruitful.

The two clubs, along with Valenciennes, are united under the same ownership, allowing for a collaborative approach to player development and recruitment.

Southampton have already sent young talents Juan Silva and Kuryi Matsuki on loan to Goztepe, providing the Turkish side with promising prospects while allowing the Premier League club to monitor their progress closely.

The arrangement is seen as a win-win situation for both clubs, with Southampton benefiting from a platform to develop young players and Goztepe gaining access to talented individuals who can contribute to their success in the Turkish top flight.

Goztepe president Rasmus Ankersen said: “It becomes a win for Southampton because we can help make these players ready for the Premier League.

“It becomes a win for Goztepe because we get a player that’s above the level of what we normally would be able to attract here in our situation right now.

“Goztepe also gets a financial benefit from the future if the whole operation is successful.”

“So i’m not putting Goztepe in the second rank, I’m putting it in the first rank and I’m trying to create a situation where everyone wins and I really believe this is a competitive advantage for Goztepe.”

The partnership highlights Sport Republic’s ambitious plans to build a global football network, with Southampton acting as the flagship club. As the model continues to evolve, it is expected to yield further benefits for all clubs involved.
