The 23-year-old joined the Blues amid high expectations when he was signed from Marseille for £33 million last summer (BBC).
Batshuayi has however, struggled to settle in at Stamford Bridge and has fallen out of favour with manager Antonio Conte.
Galatasaray have been linked with Batshuayi and the latest development was interpreted as the biggest hint yet that the young striker could be on his way to Turkey.
Batshuayi did however, play down the rumours on Twitter and appeared to be quite amused that it even made the headlines.

Despite his attempts to dismiss the shirt wearing incident as anything more than a coincidence it is worth noting that the striker has just five goals in 23 appearances this season – most coming off the substitutes bench.
The Mirror claim that Chelsea are prepared to offload the Belgium international just one-year after arriving from France.
Galatasaray would be unable to sign the Belgium international unless Chelsea accepted a cut-price deal.
The Lions would however, be keen on signing the powerful striker on loan.
The Istanbul giants did sign the actual owner of the shirt, Jason Denayer on a one-year loan from Manchester City last season.
