Mesut Ozil missed Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham United last weekend due to an illness.
Times released a report shortly after the game stating that Ozil was dropped after he had a training ground bust-up with Unai Emery.
However, ESPN has stated that reports of an altercation between Mesut Ozil and Unai Emery are unfounded.
Per the source, Ozil was sent home by the club doctor and was prescribed a dose of antibiotics to cure a severe cold that developed into laryngitis.
The 29-year-old did, however, watch the game from the stands.
ESPN goes onto state that Ozil returned to full training ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Cardiff on Sunday.
Arsenal will be looking to register their second win of the season when they take on Cardiff. The clash takes place on Sunday at the Cardiff Arms Park while kick-off is scheduled for 13:30 (GMT).
Cardiff are yet to win or score a goal in the Premier League this season.
