Revealed: Arsenal facing exodus of star players
Germany international Mesut Ozil is ready to quit Arsenal according the Telegraph.
Per the source, Ozil is yet to respond to the Gunners’ latest contract offer of £200,000 per week and that he is looking for pastures new.
The 28-year-old playmaker has a little over a year remaining on his contract. If Arsenal do not sell him this summer, they risk losing him on a free in 2018.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club record £40 million back in September 2013. The former Schalke midfielder missed Arsenal’s clashes against Liverpool and Bayern Munich due to an illness.
Telegraph goes onto state that Chile international Alexis Sanchez is also nearing an exit from the Emirates this summer.
Furthermore, the Telegraph says that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also considering a move away from Arsenal over the summer transfer window.
Arsenal were eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday and take on Lincoln City in the FA Cup this weekend.
