Revealed: Arsenal receive major transfer boost as club president slashes Gunners target price to £13m

Arsenal have received a major boost in their quest to sign Oguzhan Ozyakup in January.

Yesterday Turkish-Football.com reported that Besiktas were unwilling to sell any of their star names in January.

However, we have received an update regarding Ozyakup’s future.

Per the source, club President Fikret Orman has slashed Ozyakup’s price down to £13 million due to the 25-year-old’s contract situation.

Ozyakup has under seven months left on his contract meaning he could leave the club for free next summer.

Arsenal included a 30% sell on fee in the deal when they sold the midfield playmaker to Besiktas for just £400,000 back in 2012.

Besiktas are keen to sell Ozyakup to Arsenal as the 30% clause is only activated if the Black Eagles sell Ozyakup to a club other than the Gunners.

Arsenal may be in need of reinforcements if contract-rebels Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez leave the club.

The Gunners take on their north London rivals Tottenham in their next Premier League fixture on November 18.
