Revealed: Arsenal star Mesut Ozil discusses his footballing dream
Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has revealed his biggest dream in football during an interview with Die Welt.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner admitted that he dreams of winning the UEFA Champions League.
“To win the Champions League,” Ozil responded when asked what was his his footballing dream by Die Welt.
The Germany international was unable to win the Champions League during his spell at Real Madrid. Ozil hasn’t advanced past the Last 16 since joining Arsenal.

The Gunners were eliminated from the Champions League this year following a humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
Arsenal are also sixth in the Premier League and risk missing out on Champions League football next season. Arsene Wenger’s side are six points behind fourth placed Liverpool but do have two games in hand.
Ozil was asked about Arsenal’s position in the league during his interview with Die Welt.
“Of course, we have had a difficult time recently and we are not satisfied with sixth place.” Ozil responded.
“I am convinced, however, that we will catch up again soon. Let’s see what the future holds.”
