Revealed: Colombian ace responds to transfer rumours – ‘If Arsenal agree, I’m OK with move’

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has responded positively to an approach from Fenerbahce according to a report in the Miiliyet.

The Turkish newspaper claim that Ospina has given Fenerbahce the green light to push ahead with the transfer.

They report Ospina as saying, “Istanbul may be a new adventure and motivation for me. If my club are persuaded, it’s okay for me.”

The latest developments follow a report in the Fanatik newspaper last week that the Yellow Canaries are prepared to pay £6 million for the Colombian international.

Per the source, Fenerbahce have a preliminary agreement in place for a four-year deal.

The 28-year-old is reported to be unhappy with his role at Arsenal playing second fiddle in the league to Petr Cech.

The Mirror reported that Ospina is considering a summer exit as a result.

The experienced keeper did start for Arsenal in the Champions League.

It is worth noting however, that Ospina was also closely linked with a move to reigning Turkish league champions Besiktas last summer only for the deal to fall through.

The Colombian ace is currently out injured and will miss the Gunners clash against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
