The Germany international has come under a lot of stick from sections of the media and Reds fanbase this season.

Liverpool and Manchester United fans continued their ongoing social media discussion over who is the better midfielder Paul Pogba or Emre Can following the goal.

Better than Rooney’s famous overhead kick?

Focusing solely on goals scored you may be surprised to find out that Can has actually scored more Premier League goals than Pogba.

Can has five league goals compared to Pogba who has four.

In fact Can has more Premier League goals this season than Manchester City ace Yaya Toure and his teammate Kevin De Bruyne who also have netted four times.

The Reds midfielder also has more goals than Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas as well as Everton star Ross Barkley who have found the back of the net on four occasions.

Five goals is hardly a prolific scoring record but considering Can tends to play a more defensive role than the names listed above it is still a pretty impressive achievement.
