Revealed: Liverpool confirm contract rebel will make return for pre-season in July

Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana will return to Melwood on Tuesday to begin pre-season training according to the official Liverpool website.

The Reds duo enjoyed an extended break due to international commitments for England and Brazil.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp now has a full squad other than Emre Can for 2018-18 campaign preparations.

The central midfielder of Turkish origin is currently the only player missing.

Can has just 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.

The 23-year-old’s contract situation has some Reds fans worried over his future at the club.

Liverpool did however, confirm that Can will be returning.

The Reds revealed that the central midfielder will be back later in July.

Can received a longer break than his teammates due to Confederations Cup duty with Germany.

The Liverpool star was part of the first Germany side to have ever won the tournament.

Can is currently on holiday in America and was last spotted in Las Vegas.

The Premier League giants will take on Tranmere Rovers in their first pre-season game next Wednesday.
