Exclusive: Man United could ruin Tottenham’s £9m move for Portuguese ace, Jose Mourinho keen on winger

Premier League giants Manchester United are set to rival Tottenham in the race to sign Bruma.

The Sun recently reported that Spurs are interested in a £9 million move for the Portuguese ace.

However, a source close to Bruma has confirmed to Turkish-Football that Man United are also keeping close tabs on the situation.

United representatives have reached out to both Bruma and his club Galatasaray.

Per-the-souce, Bruma is likely to leave over the summer transfer window.

Bruma has 14 months remaining on his contract with the Lions who are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play.

The 22-year-old first attracted the interest of Jose Mourinho when Galatasaray took on United in a pre-season friendly.

Following the match in Sweden, Mourinho requested a meeting with the Galatasaray star.

“He congratulated me for the performance and said he was impressed with me,” Bruma was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.

“He promised to closely monitor my work and said I could play for the national team soon.”

The 22-year-old is currently enjoying the strongest season of his career so far.

Bruma has netted eight goals and provided eight assists after 30 apperances for Galatasaray so far season.

Bruma’s representative in Turkey, Marco Kirdemir recently told Turkish-Football that he has previously received offers from the Premier League.

“I have received offers for Bruma, Premier League sides are interested in him and he is more than capable of playing in that league,” Kirdemir told Turkish-Football.

Bruma will be in action this weekend when Galatasaray take on their biter rivals Fenerbahce. The Intercontinental derby is scheduled for tomorrow at 17:00 (GMT).
