Italian giants Roma have struck a deal with Basaksehir over the transfer of Cengiz Under.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that Roma will complete the transfer on his birthday.

Under will turn 20 on 14 July 2017 and sign for the Italian giants on a record deal.

Roma have a deal in place for €13 million which will rise to €16 million with bonuses.

Under the record previously set by Arda Turan when he joined for Atletico Madrid on a €12.47m move from Galatasaray in 2011.

The Italian giants ended up beating Manchester City and Manchester United for his signature.

The Citizens made an offer for Under last Thursday and were locked in talks until Roma trumped their bid.

Under will become the second Turkish international to join the Serie A this summer after AC Milan snapped up Hkaan Calhanoglu from AC Milan.
