Abdullah Avci’s side got off to a bright start and scored in the 2. minute of the game when Mossoro tapped in the cross from Visca to cap off a well worked move.
Despite enjoying long spells of possession Rizespor were unable to break down the stubborn Başakşehir defence.
The away side stuck again early in the second half with an impressive individual effort from the experienced striker Semih Senturk.
