Rizespor – Basaksehir: Preview & Prediction [divider]

Rizespor will be hoping to end their winless run at home this season against the leagues toughest defensive side, Başakşehir.

Rizespor

Rizespor have drawn three and lost one at home, only last place Balıkesirspor have as bad a record. Luckily for the Black Sea based side they have performed well on their travels, picking up seven points and sit in a rather comfortable 12th place.

The home side will be without the suspended Kıvanç Karakaş and Murat Duruer is a doubt after missing training with injury.

Ali Adnan was away on international duty but has returned and could start, his inclusion would be a boost to Rize’s attacking threat.

Başakşehir

Abdullah Avcı’s great start to the season is threatening to take a turn for the worse, Başakşehir have lost back-to-back games and will need to put a stop to their lose streak if they want to remain in the top half of the table for much longer.

Başakşehir have however, had a few tough fixtures and did take the lead against Beşiktaş last week before conceded two late goals to concede defeat.

Avcı’s side still have the best defensive record in the league despite the two losses and have only conceded once away from home this season.

Prediction

Rizespor have never lost at home against Başakşehir however, they have only scored four goals at the Yeni Rize stadium this season. Başakşehir have the leagues best defensive record and are likely to play their traditional defensive, organised, counter-attacking game.
