Roberto Mancini feels Prandelli was treated harshly [divider]
Roberto Mancini beleives that Cesare Prandelli should have been given more time in charge of Galatasaray.
“I am upset for Prandelli but this is football,” Mancini said.
“It is disappointing when you consider that Galatasaray were second in the league just one point behind the leaders.
“It is sad that it had to end in this way.
“Galatasaray are a big club with a strong team and amazing fans, it can be tough for managers but coaches need time.
“Prandelli could have been given more time, it was a harsh but this is football.”
Mancini won the Turkish Cup and reached the Champions League Last 16 last season as manager of Galatasaray.
The Italian coach recently took over as manager of Serie A giants Inter.
The 47-year-old managed Internazionale from 2004 until 2008 and won three Serie A titles during his spell at the Milan club.
Mancini has won a trophy with all five clubs he has managed.
