Ryan Babel reveals which Liverpool player he would have loved to play alongside
Besiktas star winger Ryan Babel could see his side book a place in the Champions League Last 16 as group leaders for the first time if they avoid defeat to Porto on Match Day 5.
Babel was however, more interested in talking about his time at Liverpool in his latest interview with Sky Sports.
The Dutch star revealed which player in particular he would have loved to play alongside in the current Reds team.
Babel revealed he would have loved to have Philippe Coutinho playing behind him.
“Everybody knows Coutinho is important for Liverpool,” Babel said.
“He’s one of the players I think I could benefit from as a player, who likes to give assists, feed you.”
Coutinho was closely linked with a move to Barcelona over the summer transfer window but Liverpool rejected all approaches for their star man.
Babel meanwhile has been in great form for Besiktas who he joined last January.
The 30-year-old already has a league title under his belt and the Black Eagles are currently first in the Champions League Group G.
Babel became the first Super Lig player to score in the first two Champions League group stage games in a single campaign.
