What do Besiktas, Tottenham, Liverpool and Roma all have in common you may be wondering.

Well they all happen to currently be top of their Champions League group and they all happen to be drawn from Pot 3.

Despite boasting the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus there is not a single Pot 1 team currently in first place.

In fact there are two Pot 1 teams in last place. Benfica are bottom of Group A, Olympiakos and Monaco are at the foot of the table in Group G.

Pot 3 and Pot 2 are currently the most successful pots in the competition.

Pot 2 also has four group leaders in Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and PSG.

From Pot 3, Besiktas, Liverpool, Tottenham and Roma are unbeaten and group leaders.

Besiktas and Tottenham have the highest points tally with 11 and 13 points, respectively after five games.

Liverpool and Roma are both first despite having eight points each.

All remaining undefeated teams left in the Champions League are from Pot 2 and 3.

Besiktas made history becoming the first Turkish side to finish the group stage as leaders following their 1-1 draw against Porto on Tuesday.
