The latest development has raised concern that his move to Galatasaray may not end up going ahead.
A source close to Galatasaray informed Turkish-Football that an offer has been made to Babel and that they are confident he will end up joining.

The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving Fulham on a free agent scoring five times and providing four assists in 16 appearances.
The Cottagers signed Babel from Besiktas in January on a six-month move and did not decide to extend his deal after being relegated from the Premier League.
Babel could spark controversy in Turkey if he were to join Galatasaray considering he played for their rivals Besiktas.
