Manchester City star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has taken to social media to wish his former teammate Shinji Kagawa good luck ahead of the Japan international’s move to Besiktas.
The Black Eagles agreed to sign Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.
Kagawa was closely linked with a move to both Monaco and Stoke City prior to joining Besiktas.
Gundogan played alongside the Japan international during his time at Dortmund and shared a photo of himself alongside Kagawa on social media. The Man City ace also included the following caption, “All the best for you in Turkey @S_Kagawa0317! You will rock it Bro. @Besiktas #SamuraioftheBosporus”

Kagawa could make his debut for Besiktas this weekend when they take on Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Besiktas currently sit in sixth spot with 30 points after 19 games and have just one win to their name from the last five games.
Meanwhile, Ilkay Gundogan is available for selection this weekend when Man City host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
