Seamus Coleman Reveals What His Relationship With Everton January Signing Is Like

Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman will take on Everton teammate Cenk Tosun in Ankara today.

Coleman returned to action with the Toffees around the same time Tosun joined from Besiktas, in January.

The defender broke his right leg in two places during Ireland’s goalless draw against Wales last year but has since made a full recovery and is expected to win hisĀ 44th Ireland cap against Turkey.

Tosun meanwhile has been in impressive form of late scoring four goals in his last three games.

The powerful striker also appears to be settling in well, so well in fact that he is already good friends with Coleman.

Coleman said: “He’s been very good in the last couple of weeks. His first couple of training sessions, you could see he was a good player who needed match fitness and training fitness.

“He’s finding the back of the net for us, which is important because he was going through a difficult spell.

“He’s a very good player and a very good friend of mine as well.”

Interestingly enough Coleman wears the number 23 for Everton which what Tosun used to wear at Besiktas.

Being a huge NBA fan Tosun wore the number 23 in honor of Michael Jordan.

The striker now wears the number 14 for the Toffees.

Tosun will be used to playing against Coleman from training. Considering they have a big game against Manchester City after the international break, Sam Allardyce will be hoping they don’t go and injure each other.
