Trabzonspor midfielder John Obi Mikel has urged Turkey to follow the lead of other nations and suspend the Super Lig.
The former Chelsea ace says he does “not feel comfortable” playing amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Mikel want the Turkish football authorities to “cancel” the rest of the campaign.
He has posted on social media: “There is more to life than football.
“I do not feel comfortable and don’t want to play football in this situation.
“Everyone should be home with their families and loved ones in this critical time.
“Season should be canceled as the world is facing such turbulent times.”

Several European football federations have suspended their domestic leagues following the spread of Covid-19.
La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, MLS, Eredivisie and the Premier League have all put football on halt.
No football matches in the league mentioned above will be played this weekend.
The Premier League will be suspended until April 3 at the earliest.
Turkish authorities have, however, made it clear that the Super Lig will go ahead behind closed doors.
Officially Turkey has just five coronavirus cases and the authorities feel there is no reason why the scheduled football games should be suspended this weekend.
