Semih Kaya taken to hospital following head collision [divider]
Galatasaray defender Semih Kaya was rushed to hospital following a head collision during the Lions 3-2 win against Mersin.
Kaya was taken off on a stretcher on 35 minutes and taken to hospital.
Initial scans have revealed that the Turkish international has not suffered a serious injury however, he will be kept in hospital overnight for further tests.
Hakan Balta replaced Kaya and filled in at centre-back for the rest of the game.
The 23-year-old defender has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
Galatasaray moved into first place in the Süper Lig with 31 points following the win.
Beşiktaş will however, overtake the Lions if they beat Akhisar tomorrow.
