Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup fourth-round yesterday after losing 3-2 against West Brom at Anfield.
Emre Can started as captain for the Reds despite Jordan Henderson recovering.
The England international started on the bench for the Premier League giants.
Can’s display did not exactly go down well – but neither did his teammates to be fair.

We took a look at how Reds fans reacted to Can’s display on Twitter after the defeat.
The debate rages on, who is better Emre Can or Jordan Henderson?
Jordan Henderson is a better footballer than Emre Can. Fight me.

Should Can be starting considering he has under six-months on his contract and will leave unless he signs a new deal?
Can has not ruled out staying but if things stay as they are the midfielder of Turkish origin will leave as a free agent at the end of the season.
Why is he still starting? If it was Salah or Firmino fair enough, but Emre Can is just as average as Liverpool’s other centre midfielders. Watching him try to force play is painful. //t.co/fJL66Ro6Bp

Brilliant! genius!
Emre Can’s performances are like a box of chocolates. pic.twitter.com/m4ttposcOy

Can was named captain again! should he have received the armband following his display against Swansea?
Emre Can over Mignolet as captain, which proves the ‘longest serving player’ thing is nonsense..
Moreno arrived same summer as Can, too, and doesn’t want to leave, as well!

Giving Emre Can the captain’s armband again when he doesn’t want to stay sends out all the wrong signals , Shankly would’ve wrung his neck.

Let’s just say most Liverpool fans on Twitter were not best impressed with the 24-year-old’s display against the Baggies.
If Emre Can wants to go to Juve I’ll give him a lift to the fucking airport now.

Emre Can is one idle twat, the two goals, he had a part in preventing them……and didn’t.

Also can we squash this myth that emre can is a good footballer
— Billy Carney (@BillyCarney85) January 28, 2018
Just seen a replay of West Brom’s second goal. Emre Can bypassed far, far too easily by Krychowiak in the middle of the park. Just ghosts past him.

Remember remember EMRE CAN is world class they said..he needs massive wages at LFC and we should give him what he wants to keep him.. THEY SAID ????
He’s dragging our mf down and down..

I’m also a big Emre Can fan, but it’s not okay to have one exceptional game followed by two well below par ones.
— John O’Sullivan (@NotoriousJOS) January 27, 2018
Emre Can being given captaincy to try & persuade him to sign a new contract is actually embarrassing for a club of our stature.
— Rob (@RobRLFC) January 27, 2018
I never rated Emre Can ever. I did want to see him signal new deal.and show some loyalty..but now if he does stay it will stiffle our mf for years to come. .if he leaves it gives klopp a chance to go buy another mf he actually wants like he did with Keita.

SALAH CANT FINISH DOO DO DO DO DO DO
OH INCONISTENT MANE DOO DO DO DO DO DO
EMRE CAN IS BLINDDDDDDD AND WE SOLD COUTINHOOOO
— Levi (@TheAlonsoRole) January 27, 2018
Very imaginative.
After yet another dreadful display from Emre Can I’ve taken it upon myself to illustrate through pop culture why he is not very good and should under no circumstances be “kept at all costs”.
1) A team sitting deep
2) A good midfielder
3) Team sitting deep broken down
4) Emre Can pic.twitter.com/N2bbFz1lGj— Anton (@Antonstotle) January 28, 2018
