Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth gave an update on the situation regarding the Soyuncu transfer saga.

Sheth said that Arsenal are keen but that they face competition from rival Premier League sides.

“They will have competition for him because there are a number of clubs interested,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“Sven Mislintat has been an admirer since he was at Dortmund. The agent says the talks are concrete, they just need to settle on a price.”

The latest update is pretty similar to what Turkish-Football reported last week.

Freiburg are in no hurry to make a decision after receiving at least four offers from Premier League sides.

“There are four Premier League sides who’ve made a move for Soyuncu, that we are in talks with,” Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dorgu told Turkish-Football.

Freiburg deal with Soyuncu runs for another three-years and the club want to make sure they get the maximum fee possible for the defender.

The 22-year-old has made no secret that he wants a Premier League move but his club will have the final say.

Soyuncu’s future is expected to be wrapped up by early July. The German side want around £30m for the center-back.
