Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed interest in Dinamo Zagreb’s right back Ivo Pinto.
Speaking to Croatian TV channel HTV, Bilic said “Yes we are interested in Pinto. We are looking to bring in a right back in January.
“We have not met or agreed a deal with the player or his club. He is one of the players we are currently looking into.
Bilic also commented on football in Turkey, “The pressure on clubs in Turkey is huge. The league is strong and the teams do have quality.
There are four big sides in Turkey, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor and Besiktas. We are at a slight disadvantage as our home stadium is under construction.”
According to reports in the British media, Aston Villa are also preparing a bid for the former Portuguese U21 international who is valued at €5 million by his club.
Pinto has provided 4 assists in 22 games for the Croatian side this season.
