There will now definitely be at least two non Süper Lig sides in the quarter-final.
“Kayserispor deserved the win, yes we rotated and played some reserve players but it is no excuse and I expected more from the players given a chance,” Bilic said in the post-match press conference.
Beşiktaş are yet to win a trophy under Bilic since his appointment.
The Eagles will still be competing in two competitions, the Süper Lig and the Europa League.
The Turkish giants take on Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32 on 19 February at Anfield.
Beşiktaş are currently 1st in the Süper Lig with 44 points from 19 games this season.
The Black Eagles have won nine out of their last 10 games and surprisingly have recorded more points away (27) than at home (17).
