Sosa – ‘We hope to finish ahead of Tottenham in Group C’ [divider]

Beşiktaş midfielder Jose Sosa believes Beşiktaş can finish ahead of Tottenham in Europa League Group C.

“I believe we can progress out of the group stages in the Europa League,” Sosa said.

“Our aim is to make the next round, hopefully by beating Tottenham for first place in Group C but that will be decided when we meet. 

“We must win our home games that is key. 

“I think we can progress far in the Europa League this season.”

Beşiktaş are currently joint first in Europa League Group C on eight points with Tottenham.

Sosa also underlined that not having a home stadium this season could prove to be a problem.

“It is tough when you do not have a stadium,” Sosa said.

“Every successful club has a great stadium behind them, they have their own fans supporting them.

“Beşiktaş have a large supporter base and fanatical fans, the club is famous for its supporters around the world.

“Currently our stadium is getting rebuilt so we are having to travel around a lot and do not have anyhwere we can call home.

“I hope the fans keep backing us wherever we play this season.”

The İnönü stadium is currently being expanded, Beşiktaş have had to play at temporary stadiums as a result.
