Bursaspor defender Ertugrul Ersoy has attracted interest from across Europe after an impressive two seasons at the club.

Ersoy has revealed that he has aspirations to become team captain but that he wants a Liverpool move.

The 21-year-old revealed that his dream is to play for Liverpool but that he feels that will happen in the long run and that a Bundesliga move could be on the cards beforehand.

“I dream of playing for Europe, for me the pinnacle would be playing for Liverpool,” he said speaking at the Turkey national team camp.

“I want to play for Liverpool but in the short term I aim to become Bursaspor captain and then perhaps move to the Bundesliga before making my next step.”

Ersoy broke into the team aged 20-years-old last season against Osmanlispor in October.

The centre-back started every game until picking up a groin injury in December which ruled him out of action until February.

Ersoy re-established himself back in the first team and has started every game this term.

The young defender is one of the highest rated young defenders in the league and has been called up to the Turkey national team squad over the international break.
