Star studded Arsenal edge past non-league Sutton United

A star studded Arsenal side have defeated non-league Sutton United in the FA Cup.

Sutton earned the title of ‘Giant Killers‘ after eliminating both AFC Wimbledon and Leeds United from the competition.

However, their cup run came to an end last night following a defeat to the Gunners.

Summer signing Perez scored the games opening goal after 26 minutes while Theo Walcott doubled his side’s lead shortly after half time.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger surprised many by selecting a strong starting lineup comprised mostly of first team players. Chile international Alexis Sanchez also made an appearance for the north London based club off the bench.

Mesut Ozil was rested for yesterday’s game. The 28-year-old playmaker has received criticism from from fans and pundits alike for failing to perform in big games.
