Crystal Palace CEO Steve Parish has demanded answers over how Alexander Sorloth was allowed to join Trabzonspor on loan with just a £5m buy option according to Fotospor.

Per the source, Parish has asked those involved in the deal to give a detailed explanation of Sorloth’s agreement with Trabzonspor.

Additionally, Parish has reportedly asked whether a future sale clause was not included in the deal.

Trabzonspor have loaned Sorloth on a two-year deal but have a £5m buy option. Palace meanwhile, do not have an option to recall the Norway international.

Sorloth has gone onto score 25 times and provide seven assists for the Claret-Blues.

His goals have propelled Trabzonspor into the title race – they are currently joint top of the league with Basaksehir who they face on Sunday.

Trabzonspor are also in the Turkish Cup semi-final.

Sorloth’s form has been so impressive that he has even been linked with Real Madrid.

Fotospor mentions the Real link but interest from the Spanish giants has been circulating for weeks now.

“I’ve heard as little as you did,” Sorloth responded to the Real Madrid link to Norwegian publication Tipsbladt .

“I sat in the locker room before the game against Besiktas and watched Snapchat that there was a lot of activity in our group of friends.

“There was someone who had linked to that article. It was a bit special to see before a game. I just had to try and use it as best I could to gain more confidence. And I did.”

Sorloth picked up a knock in the victory over Malatyaspor mid-week but is expected to be match fit in time for the Basaksehir game.
