Stoke City v Liverpool Confirmed Lineups – Firmino & Coutinho benched, two youngsters drafted in

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sprung a surprise with his lineup against Stoke City.

Klopp switched formation from his usual 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 setup.

The German manager benched Firmino and Coutinho, bringing in youngsters Alexander-Arnold and Woodburn.

Seventeen year old Woodburn will start upfront alongside Origi while 18-year-old Arnold will start in midfield

Germany international of Turkish origin Emre Can starts in central midfield while Brazilian veteran Lucas is relegated to the bench.

The defensive three will be comprised of Lovren, Klaven and Matip.

Clyne and Arnold are likely to be fielded in a wide midfield role operating on the flanks with James Milner and Gini Wijnaldum either side of Can.
