Strongest Liverpool 4-3-3 v Stoke City: Klopp faces midfield crisis, Emre Can expected start

Liverpool take on Stoke City at the Britannia stadium hoping to get back on track after a disappointing 2-2 draw at home against Bournemouth.

Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp faces a midfield crisis as captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana are both out for the game.

Lucas Leiva is expected to be drafted into a defensive midfield role with Can occupying a more advanced deployment alongside Gini Wijnaldum.

Considering the injuries Liverpool are facing the midfield trio of Lucas, Can and Wijnaldum is the strongest setup available to Klopp.

In defence Joel Matip is expected to be brought in and start alongside Lovren in a centre-back role, Miler and Clyne are all available as full-backs.

With Mane out injured, Firmino is expected to be shifted onto to the right while Coutinho is likely to start on the left and Origi will almost certainly get the nod upfront.

Liverpool head into the game in 3rd place and will hold onto their position as long as they win.

The Reds have won six of their last seven Premier League games against Stoke.

Stoke meanwhile are in a bad run of form having lost their last three league games.
