Sunderland ace on verge of summer exit after club strike deal with Black Cats

Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor are on the verge of signing Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji.

The Black Sea Storm have been on the hunt for a defender all summer long and have been linked with Djilobodji for the last two months.

According to the daily Turkish newspaper Sabah, Trabzonspor have managed to strike a deal with Sunderland over a loan move.

Per the source, the Black Sea based club are on the verge of completing the signing of Papy Djilobodji.

Sabah go onto state that the loan deal could be sealed within the coming days.

Trabzonspor have until September 1 to make the transfer happen.

Sunderland registered a 2-1 win over Wimbledon yesterday with both goals coming from Lee Cattermole.

The Black Cats are back in action against Oxford United next weekend.

Trabzonspor meanwhile were held to a 2-2 draw by Ankaragucu on Saturday evening. The Black Sea Storm take on their rivals Galatasaray next Saturday.
