Sunderland Star Agrees Personal Terms With Turkish Club – Black Cats Yet to Reach Agreement On Sale

Trabzonspor are set to step up their interest in Sunderland star defender Papy Djilobodji.

The Black Sea Storm have been on the hunt for a new centre-back all summer and have until September 1 to make it happen.

According to the daily Turkish sports paper Fanatik, Trabzonspor have not given up hopes of signing Sunderland defender Djilobodji.

Per the source, Trabzonspor has already agreed personal terms with the Senegal international.

Fanatik go onto state that Djilobodji is keen on a move away from Sunderland as he does not want to play League One football this season.

However, Trabzonspor have been unable to strike a deal with Sunderland. The Black Sea Storm want to sign Djilobodji on a 12-month loan while Sunderland are only interested in selling him on a permanent deal.

The report also claims that Trabzonspor President Ahmet Agaoglu is locked in negotiations with Sunderland officials and that Trabzonspor are confident of getting the deal over the line.
