Sunderland star strikes controversial three-year deal with Super Lig champions, expected to arrive in Istanbul today
Sunderland star Jeremain Lens has struck a deal with Super Lig champions Besiktas.
A source close to the Black Eagles revealed to Turkish-Football that Lens has agreed to a three-year deal.
The transfer fee and salary has yet to be disclosed but Lens is expected to arrive in Istanbul today.
The Dutch international will undergo his Besiktas medical before completing his move.

The transfer will be hugely controversial if it does go ahead as planned.
Lens was arguably the player of the season on loan for Fenerbahce last season.
The 29-year-old established himself as a fan favourite at the Yellow Canaries.
Joining Istanbul rivals Besiktas is not likely to go down well with Fenerbahce supporters.
Lens scored five goals and provided 17 assists in 38 appearances for Fenerbahce in all competitions last season.
The Sunderland ace was one of the best performing players in the Super Lig last season.
